LIBRARY

R & D Polytechnic College Library serves as a body of knowledge, solid in the fundamentals of academic information. The college library provides the latest conceptual information, keeps up-to-date with the most recent and advancement in their area of interest. The College library equipped about 140000 quality textbooks written by prominent authors on various subjects of science and engineering. The intake of books is a regular feature in the college library. In addition to the course books, personality development, general knowledge handbooks, a no. of Journals, reference books, magazines, a national and local newspaper, etc. are also added to the collections.

The library remains open during college hours on all working days. The library has a well-furnished spacious study hall along with a reference section. There is a special provision of books for students of the economically weaker section under the Book Bank Scheme.

E-Library The College library also has e-Library facilities both for students and staff. e-Library provides the benefit to an integrated search to the dictionary, encyclopedia, eBooks, etc. whereby students can access the material and books anytime from anywhere on the campus.

SPORTS

A pleasing mind resides in a sound body. Sport is a significant field that requires constant support and promotion. The College has several sports infrastructure such as proper courts for volleyball, basketball, cricket, badminton, and Football ground encouraging students to participate in sports. Also, this helps students to learn the spirit of sportsmanship, which will allow them to face many highs and lows in life. Annual Athletic Meet also organized for encouraging and developing sportsmanship among students

SEMINAR HALL

The college has a spacious and well-furnished, seminar Hall. The college seminar hall is air-conditioned state-of-the-art with a fully soundproof and equipped with audio/video presentations.

CANTEEN

The College canteen provides refreshments, nutritious, and hygienic meals daily at affordable prices for students and staff members. Students can visit the college canteen during free hours to refresh themselves and to spend time together.

CAMPUS

The R&D Centre for Bicycle & Sewing Machine lush green campus stretches across 06 acres on the outskirts of Ludhiana city. The vast College campus is in the industrial hub with several amenities for students and staff. The college had deployed Security Guards around the clock in the entire campus to ensure the safety and security of the students, which further beefed up with CCTV Cameras.

CCTV SURVEILLANCE

R&D Polytechnic College has CCTV Surveillance systems in the entire college campus for the safety and security of both their students and staff. Also, maintaining discipline and preventing any undesirables from gaining access to the site.

POWER BACKUP (24×7)

The entire College campus connected to two powerful generators that provide instant power back up 24×7.

CLASSROOM/TUTORIAL ROOM

The classrooms, lecture halls, and tutor rooms fully furnished, spacious, well-lit, and well-ventilated with comfortable seating arrangements are available for smooth conduct of theory classes. The lecture halls and classrooms can accommodate up to 75 and 63 students, respectively, while the tutorial classes designed for the strength of 20-30 students. Separate tutorial room is available for conducting tutorial classes as a remedial measure to improve the academic performance of slow-learners. Research and Development Centre for Bicycle and Sewing Machine (Polytechnic College wing) came into existence in year 2001. The Polytechnic College is a Technical Education Wing of Research and Development for Bicycle and Sewing Machine Ludhiana. The R&D Centre was established in 1983 by Punjab Government with the assistance of UNDP/UNIDO.
